The tree is standing, the presents are packed, the goose is roasting, the champagne is cooling, the heart is beating.

Merry christmas to you all.

The Homemade Supermarket at the Markthalle was a great success. Side by side with a lot of plants from the community garden Prinzessinengarten who are taking a little break from the cold winter until spring cheerful visitors and buyers strolled through this atmospheric setting.

This is my new brooch collection. As I finished them at the last second, I hadn't time to think about a proper presentation. So my very large postcard collection of women artists came in handy.

Today, at 11:00 a.m. sharp, I finished my new holiday collection: opulent brooches to adorn a low key and simple outfit. As you can see in the picture, birds are still strong with me. You can see more of them this weekend at the Handmade Supermarket in Berlin-Kreuzberg.
It'll take place at Eisenbahnhalle, an old covered market. Also home this winter for the plants of the community garden Prinzessinnengarten. So a lot of greens inside while it's white on the outside. We have some snow in Berlin. Hurra.

Delicious foods, Glühwein and homemade cakes are also served. Join me and a lot of other designers this weekend to get yourself in the christmas mood (last minute shopping inclusive).

Heavy snow turns Berlin into some magic place. So what else can you do than sitting in a cosy room and drinking some hot tea? Make some snow candy.

1 cup real maple syrup

1/4 cup salted butter

a bowl of fresh snow

1. Heat the syrup and butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring to avoid a boil over.

2. The mixture is ready 6 to 7 minutes after it boils (220 to 234 degrees on a candy thermometer). It should stiffen when dripped onto a plate.

3. Remove from heat and cool for 2 minutes before pouring over the snow. It cools so quickly that you can taste it right away.

Due to some heavy mulled wine drinking at the christmas market there was no 5. Dezember.
Additionally I will add something for it later this day.

Surprise! Another video!
I like her style and her jewelery. Several pieces were sold this week at Sotheby's. And maybe make some lucky ladies under the christmas tree more than happy.

:: Getting ready

On sunday there's first of Advent hier in Germany and everybody puts up a Adventskranz, a wreath with for candles. So I'm busy doing my christmas decoration.
I'm serious thinking about this project: a paper snow curtain. I did a very tiny one last year, but this year I want it big!

Although I wasn't actually here, I'm off again.
I'll spend some days at the Baltic Sea and will be traveling by train. Feels already like an adventure.
Hopefully I'll be back with lots of inspiration.

:: EDEN RELOADED

Yeah. I'm sort of back. Although I never was really away...just too much things happening: getting married, honeymooning, crafting, undergoing surgery, getting lost, working, readjusting, thinking and besides that all living.
So welcome back.

The little beetle button is my newest design and will be available soon at my etsy shop. As usual there're a lot of ideas popping in my head. Woodburning is one of it...

Are they available for home cooking?

Found this gorgeous restaurant in NYC via Alicia.
As I'm very fond of beards and of male chefs, this guys came in handy: they have a beard and know how to cook. Please meet the double Franks from Frankies Sputino.

CONSTRUCTION AHEAD

At the moment I'm stitching, sweating (in Berlin it's 32°C!), silk printing, drawing and getting a bit nervous. The usual preparation for the wonderful and annual Wedding Dress # 5 here in Berlin-Wedding.

Achtung Baustelle!

:: More details

Some inspirations from Green Wedding Shoes.
By the way, Chanel happens to have romantic temporary tattos. Including cherry blossoms and birds.

Hankershiefs provide so much inspiration. Wether for the bride or for the groom. And I bet you all know the famous hankershiefs turned into invitation by screen printing the date of the wedding on it.

Details, bitte.

:: Wedding details

It's all about the details. Accessoires like shoes, hats, bag, jewelery, cake toppers and hankies adorn even the most simple dress or even add some colour.

Lets start with the top of the head.

:: Wedding week

A very dear, dear friend of mine is getting married. Perfect excuse for me to research a lot of outfits, design and decoration. Main focus is on DIY, budget and vintage.

For today the theme is a country wedding.
You can purchase the outfit for a mere $ 100 just at etsy! That's what we like!

Watch this!

Hurray! My first embedded video.
I found this at etsy. Where else. Check out these other lovely short films. SFgirlbay is also featured and shows her lovely San Francisco appartment.
