:: Project Preview

I'm working on several projects at last. One is more practical, is about things you can really use. The other will assimilate my brooch project in a wider sense. There will be a lot of birds (again!) and geishas.

:: A winter's tale

Since two days Berlin is covered into white snowsheets. Even going to work is now exciting. I get super excited about the new Toast Collection. Can't wait for the catalogue in my post.

:: Excuse my japanese

Last week I ordered some things via etsy. Wonderful fabrics and my first japanese crafting magazines. So lovely. I don't leave home without them. Also some nice Decole stuff.

The japanese magazines were a real treat. One came with a 2009 crafting calender with cute ideas and both with illustrations and how to dos.

:: 10 days of nothing

Hello 2009! Although the first month is almost over.
The first 10 days were filled with nothing. Only reading, keeping the fireplace warm, walking by the sea and bird watching.
This year big things are ahead. As always.
The first big question is: How will Eden survive?
I can't rely on 3-4 creative markets in a year, that's not enough.
So I'm reopening my etsy shop again. There are also two shops in Berlin who sell my stuff now: Fuchs at Dunkerstraße has a wonderful international selction of unseen Schnickschnack and Excuse my french is owned by the lovley Caroline from France. She only sells handmade designs and is a heaven for makers and buyers of the unique.

Now comes the boring part: Business plan. I need one, when Eden is going to hit the professional line. I`m already enrolled in a class "Opening a creative business for Dummies". The mere thinking of formulas, officialdom, book keeping, taxes etc. leaves me sleepless.

:: Protect me from what I want (Part 3)

The HolyShit is also a great place to discover new artist. At least for me new. Simon MacEwan is Australian and has already some reputation. I'm more than delighted by his absolutly beautiful brooches he makes. Guess where all my money went I earned at the HolyShit....

:: Ho-ho- Holyshit

Hurray! I made it. Last year I swore to take part at the next HolyShit and ta da: watch my stuff at the HolyShit 2008 in Berlin.
More photos and artists coming up. Including the amazing Simon MacEwan.
